The Five Steps of the Admissions Process

"Our son AJ has been impacted in many positive ways. He has made a connection between the value of academics and his faith. He has had the opportunity to serve the community alongside his peers and see a positive change in the lives of others as a result of their service. He has cultivated many friendships and has made connections with others that are priceless."

Concordia Academy’s campus in Roseville, Minnesota includes ample classroom and lab space, athletic fields, an auditorium, a dance studio, and a lovely commons where students gather throughout the day. We’re centrally located with nearby freeway access to 35E, 35W, 36, and 694, with families coming from communities such as Woodbury, Maplewood, Blaine, White Bear Lake, Arden Hills, St. Paul, and Minneapolis.

Although the mode of learning has changed for Concordia Academy with the temporary closure for COVID-19, standards for the quality of learning remain high. We use Google Classroom as the platform for all online learning. This, in addition to a variety of other apps and extensions, help provide a consistent and high-quality education. Nearly all of the students at CA had already utilized Google classroom in some of their classes prior to the shift entirely to online learning. Our hope is that, although we have been forced to create new ways of educating due to the circumstances, our students will become better than they once were and learn new skills of connection, communication, and creativity as they engage in learning online.

Our core values make Concordia Academy unique:

  • Honor God In All That We Do
  • Love And Serve Students And Families
  • Live, Work, And Play In Christian Community
  • Become Better Than We Once Were

We believe students' talents, strengths, and ambitions are often identified early on in their high school careers. Concordia Cohorts, specialized programs designed for students with passion for STEM, Fine Arts, and Humanities, are a differentiator designed to further develop and stretch the minds of our students. Students in any of these cohorts, as well as those completing our traditional program, have access to our ICE Lab, which stands for Invent, Create, Explore. Here, students have access to 3D printers, laser cutters, water jets and more. It's incredible to see students with different educational strengths coming together to use their skills in this space.

Students feel CA's strong sense of community as we gather together twice a week for chapel. The Family Life Groups, led by the seniors, meet twice a month during school days and provide an opportunity for students to discuss faith, enjoy fellowship, and pray for each other in a small group setting. Vision4Life days are some of our students' favorite memories as our Family Life groups participate in service projects throughout the Twin Cities, engage with guest speakers on seminar days, and wrap up the experience with a morning of reflection, prayer, and praise.

The sense of community as CA extends well beyond students, as meaningful relationships connect students, parents, faculty, staff, and alumni.

It means that we honor God in all that we do, one of our main core values. Knowing God and his love for us, cherishing His Word, and seeking to please him in all that we do is at the heart of the Concordia Academy experience. We seek to "live worship" in every aspect of life. This includes everything in and outside of school. All that we do is a reflection of whose we are.

Average class size is 19.

Instead of existing as an isolated discipline, technology at CA is integrated into the classroom in numerous ways, existing side-by-side with textbooks, lectures, discussions, group work, and independent learning. Rather than replacing other teaching and learning methods, technology at CA complements and enhances them. We have laptop carts with MacBooks, Chromebooks, and iPads. A dedicated space with iMacs is used for photojournalism and Graphic Design classes, and iMacs are available for student use in our commons.

Two gyms, a football and soccer field, track, baseball and softball fields, and a large weight room are used for our competitive sports: boys and girls cross country, football, boys and girls soccer, girls volleyball, boys and girls basketball, wrestling, dance, hockey, baseball, softball, boys and girls track & field, boys lacrosse, and boys golf.
